LESSON PLAN Kevin Scheib (Wood Shop and Plastics Technology) weekly lesson plans (12-17-2012 to 12-21-2012) Monday 12/17/12 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1stpd will continue work on the engraver. Will give demonstration on using the plastic injector. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood : Students will be staining and some will be clear coating. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. Tuesday 12/18 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students in first period will continue with the key chain project. 7th pd. will start to take the chess pieces out of the molds. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will be clear coating. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. WEDNESDAY 12/19 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students will be working on the injection molder. They will be making screw drivers. They will also be making other objects. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will be sanding between coats and will be putting on the next coat of clear coat. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. Thursday 12/20 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st. pd. will do the small pin project. 7th. Pd. will switch chess pieces and start the process of attaching and coating. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Many students will be applying last coat of clear coat. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. Friday 12/21 Half Day Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Clean Up Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Clean Up Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Clean Up FOR ALL PERIODS: PA. Standards (Science & Technology); 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6 Objectives; Wood shop-To have students fully understand process of how to use different types of measuring devices and how to measure accurately. Students will also learn safe and acceptable procedure for the shop. Plastics- To have students fully understand process of how to use different types of measuring devices and how to measure accurately. LESSON PLAN Kevin Scheib (Wood Shop and Plastics Technology) weekly lesson plans (12-10-2012 to 12-14-2012) Monday 12/10/12 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1stpd will continue work on the engraver. They will be making key chains. 7th. Pd. Students will apply the last cots of latex today. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood : I will give projects a look over today for anything that needs to be addressed and then students will start to assemble. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will be finishing assembly, and will be adding pegs. Some students will start to stain. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. Thursday 12/13 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st. pd. will do the small pin project. 7th. LESSON PLAN Kevin Scheib (Wood Shop and Plastics Technology) weekly lesson plans (12-3-2012 to 12-7-2012) Monday 12/3/12 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st Pd. class will be making the name plates. We will be making 1 large name plate, small name in, and a key chain plate. They choose the color to use. 7th pd will be starting the chess mold project. Each student will receive 8 pieces. To coat. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood : Students will be making the second piece of the shelf. They will also receive the wood for the end brackets and some students will start to cut them out on the band saw. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. Tuesday 12/4 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students in first period will continue with the large name plate project. 7th pd. will continue with coating of project pieces. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will be working on the band saws and sanding. They will be given a demonstration on the routering of the parts and some will be doing that. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. WEDNESDAY 12/5 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students in both plastics classes will continue with projects. Students in 7th pd. will continue to coat. They will have at least four coats when they are done. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will continue working on projects. They will be cutting ends out, routering, and sanding. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed. Thursday 12/6 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students will continue with projects in both classes. I will give demo on set up and ingraving of the name pin. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: I will be giving a demonstration on drilling the holes out for the pegs. And also we will be putting the hanger brackets in the back. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on projects. I will be going around and helping students as needed.
