Good afternoon! Basic wood working and advanced wood working students are now working a drawing project on Auto Cad. The assignment is for the students to create a working set of plans that they could go to the wood shop a build a project using the plans they have created. They must have a Front, Top, and a Side view. They must have all plans dimensioned. The grade for this will be equivalent to a test grade. It is very important that students do their best. Plastic students will continue to work with the plastics injection molder. If you have any questions feel free to contact me here at school.

WOW! Can you believe spring is wright around the corner? Renovations are going grate. I believe we will be back in the shop by the first week in April. A new heating system, new lights that will be so much more energy efficient! And a new dust collector. Wright know we are working on Auto Cad with the students. I am hearing from some students that they didn’t sign up for this! I do understand that. But what they don’t realize is that they will be able to design their own projects and be able to understand other project plans better. With the Advanced wood working students they are drawing plans on the computers that they will be able to use when we go back to the shop. Plastics students will be learning how to use plastics injection molder. They will be makeing small Phillips and Flat Head screw drivers. If you have any questions for me you can contact me at school by phone or email

Hello every one! As you know we are under construction here at Northschuylkill. The Metal, Wood and Power Tech rooms are being renovated. Grate head way is being made. At the present time all Basic wood working classes are working on the computers in the drafting room. The advanced cabinet class will be involved in set construction for the upcoming musical. They will be helping to build sets; I believe this will be very beneficial in teaching students some simple construction. Plastics class will be working with a plastic injection over the next two weeks we will be making Screw drivers and other small objects. This will give students a good representation of how some products are made in industry. Basic wood working students will continue to use Auto Cad. If you have any concerns please feel free to contact me by E- Mail or by phone.
