The next project will be the Desk organizer. I will have all parts pree cut to size. Students will be given demo on sanding and also cutting the sides. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood : Students will continue to work on individual projects. We are starting to assemble many projects. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will be working on their projects and I will be going around assisting students as needed. Tuesday 4/30 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students will be working on sanding and cutting and sanding. I will be giving a demonstration on assembling all parts. We will be using masking tape to hold together till we use the acrylic glue. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will continue to work on individual projects. I continue to move around the class to check on student progress and to help with whatever they need. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will be working on their project and I will be going around assisting students as needed. The next project will be the Mug. I will be giving a demonstration on sanding the ends of the acrylic tube and tracing the tube shape onto a piece of acrylic to make the bottom. Tuesday 4/16 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students will be working on sanding and cutting and sanding the bottom. I will give a demonstration on how the bottom will be taped in position and then how we will apply the glue, we will then place them in the vices. They will go all the way down to 600 grit and then I will demonstrate how to buff the bottom and the Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will continue to work on individual projects. Thursday 4/18 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students will continue to sand and buff their mugs. We will also add water to the mug to make sure it is water tight.
