LESSON PLAN Kevin Scheib (Wood Shop and Plastics Technology) weekly lesson plans (3-4-2012 to 3-8-2012) Monday 3/4 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st. pd. Students will be working on clear coating the box for holding the chess board and pieces. 7th pd. will be working on coating the chess pieces. They will be trading pieces with another person so they will have a complete set. They will also work on the dice project. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood : Students will be working on individual Projects . I will be going around to each student and helping them get started cutting parts. Students will continue with planeing wood down as they need more parts Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on individual projects. I will continue to move around the room looking over projects and checking student progress. Tuesday 3/5 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st. pd. will continue working on boxes. Students will be sanding the bottom of the chess pieces so they stand level. 7th. Pd. We will continue with coating process. They will also work on the dice project. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will be working on individual projects. I will continue walking around and helping students. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on individual projects. Some students will be choosing their next project to build. WEDNESDAY 3/6 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st. Pd. Students will continue sanding parts. 7th. Pd. will continue to coat projects. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will continue with individual projects and I will give a demonstration on gluing legs together. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on individual projects. I will continue to move around the room looking over projects and checking student progress. Thursday 3/7 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st pd. Students will be raping up this project today and Friday. 7th. Pd. Will continue to coat projects. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will continue with individual projects and I will give a demonstration on gluing legs together. Students will be planning wood down as they need it. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on individual projects. I will continue to move around the room looking over projects and checking student progress. Friday 3/8 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: 1st pd. I will be giving a demonstration on Sanding and buffing the Dice project. 7th. Pd. Students will start to remove second group of chess pieces from molds. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: Students will continue with individual projects and I will give a demonstration on gluing legs together. Students will be planning wood down as they need it. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: Students will continue to work on individual projects. I will continue to move around the room looking over projects and checking student progress. FOR ALL PERIODS: PA. Standards (Science & Technology); 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6 Objectives; Wood shop-To have students fully understand process of how to use different types of measuring devices and how to measure accurately. Students will also learn safe and acceptable procedure for the shop.
