Monday 1/31/11 Lessons Are Pushed Back One Day due to My Absence

Pd. 4,5 Plastics: Students will be sanding projects on one side and then we will be cutting them to the correct size.

Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood Working : Students will be starting their own individual projects today.

Pd. 7 Advanced Cabinet Making: Students will be starting their own individual projects today.

TUESDAY 2/1/11

Pd. 4,5 Plastics: Students will be given demo on the proper steps to sanding . They will go through three different steps. I will then give a demo on buffing the project.
Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood Working: Students will continue planning lumber and starting to layout cutting patterns.

Pd. 7 Advanced Cabinet Making: Advanced students will continue to work on projects and basic wood work will continue planning lumber and starting to layout cutting patterns.
WENDNESDAY 2/2/11

Pd. 4,5 Plastics: Students will continue with sanding and buffing..

Pd. 2,3,6 BASIC WOOD WORKING: Students will continue layout and cutting of their first project pieces.

Pd. 7 Advanced Cabinet Making: Students will continue layout and cutting of their first project pieces. Advanced students continue to work on projects.
THURSDAY 2/3/11

Pd. 4,5 Plastics: Students will be finishing buffing.
Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood Working: Students are working on their own. I will be assisting students with different processes as they arise.
Pd.7 Advanced Cabinet Making: Students are working on their own. I will be assisting students with different processes as they arise.


FRIDAY 2/4/11

Pd. 4,5 Plastics: I Will give demo on laying out of the two holes that will be drilled into the bottom to hold the salt and pepper.
Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood Work: Students will continue to work on projects. When special operations are needed we will stop working and give a demonstration on that operation.
Pd. 7 Advanced Cabinet Making: Students will continue to work on projects. When special operations are needed we will stop working and give a demonstration on that operation.
FOR ALL PERIODS:
PA. Standards (Science & Technology); 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6
Objectives; Wood shop-To have students fully understand the safe and proper use of all power equipment in the shop.
Plastics- To give students an understanding of how signs are engraved, and how plastic can be heated and shaped
Assessments; Will be done by Question and Answers and Quiz.
