LESSON PLAN Kevin Scheib (Wood Shop and Plastics Technology) weekly lesson plans (9-17-2012 to 9/22/2012) Monday 9/17 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students will be finishing the second plastics project. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: I will give a review and demonstration of the Planer and The Jointer. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: I will give a review and demonstration of the Planer and The Jointer. Tuesday 9/18 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: A substitute will be in for me. Students will have work to do. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: A substitute will be in for me. Students will be taking the test on the Planer and the Jointer. A word bank will be given. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: A substitute will be in for me. Students will be taking the test on the Planer and the Jointer. A word bank will be given. WENDNESDAY 9/19 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: A substitute will be in for me. Students will have work to do. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: A substitute will be in for me. Students will have work to do. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: A substitute will be in for me. Students will have work to do. Thursday 9/20 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: I will give a demonstration making a press project. This will be a small candy dish. We will heat a sheet of acrylic and then press it into a mold. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: I will be giving a full demonstration of the Circular saw. We will be covering Ripping, cross cutting and angle cutting. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: I will be giving a full demonstration of the Circular saw. We will be covering Ripping, cross cutting and angle cutting. Friday 9/21 Pd. 1,7 Plastics: Students will continue the press project. Pd. 2,3,6 Basic Wood: I will be giving the test on the table saw and if time allows we will be going over the radial arm saw. Pd. 5 Advanced Cabinetmaking: I will be giving the test on the table saw and if time allows we will be going over the radial arm saw. FOR ALL PERIODS: PA. Standards (Science & Technology); 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6 Objectives; Wood shop-To have students fully understand process of how to use different types of measuring devices and how to measure accurately. Students will also learn safe and acceptable procedure for the shop. Plastics- To have students fully understand process of how to use different types of measuring devices and how to measure accurately.
